Our youth in grades 4 and 5 will be embarking in a new curriculum for Sunday School at Good
Shepherd, called "Building an ARK" .
The foundation is structured around the Rite-13 teachings and has several goals:
The objectives which we will teach and hold in our hearts and minds are:
We will also be joining the youth group in church for the 10 o'clock service once a month!
The Ark class will meet Sundays at 9:45am in the Junior Youth Room, located in the Allen Bldg.
(at the back of Pennies For Heaven Thrift Shop).

- To celebrate ourselves as young men and women.
- To affirm the power of creative energy and to explore the thoughts and disciplines which
will allow individuals to effect change in the world; - To teach, by word and example, the principles of kindness, freedom, responsibility,
caring, and friendship.
The objectives which we will teach and hold in our hearts and minds are:
- The task of building a community will be our primary concern.;
- We will seek to establish relationships which honor each individual's particular gifts and
talents as necessary for the life of the whole group.; - We unfold a basic understanding of the call of God on all of us to live in accordance with
God's word as it was revealed to us in the person of Jesus, as it continues to be
revealed by the power of the Holy Spirit, as well as an understanding of how we, as
members of the Church, support and nurture one another along the way.
