Sunday School
All classes begin at 9:45 on Sunday mornings. Like a
worship service, each session includes time for
gathering, praising God, giving thanks and going in His
name. Children then join their parents in church for
communion.
Godly Play. Pre-K to 3rd grade
Discover the Bible with hands-on storytelling. Children
encounter sacred stories, Jesus' parables and
Episcopal traditions, holidays and actions. We meet in
the Ryon building, adjacent to the courtyard.

Acts of Random Kindness
Our youth in grades 4 and 5 will be embarking in a new
curriculum for Sunday School at Good Shepherd,
called "Building an ARK" . The foundation is structured
around the Rite-13 teachings.

Nursery
While parents are in church and older children are in
Sunday School, babies and toddlers are welcome in our
nursery. Equipped with friendly caregivers and plenty of
activities, infants and toddlers, to three years-old, will
find the nursery a fun place to be.
Seasonal Events
Special times of the church year are celebrated with a
variety of activities. During Advent the children present
a Christmas Pageant to the congregation. Every year
they participate in a Lenten Outreach project to help
others in need. In April we have our Parish Picnic.
There is Children's Sunday in May, when the children
actively contribute to the worship service in church.
Vacation Bible School is a very popular, week-long
community wide event every June. We always have a
big "Welcome back to Sunday School" in September
after the summer break and then round out the year
with the Blessing Of The Animals in October, Fall Fest in
November, All Saint's Day and Advent.

"Train up a child in the
way he should go, and
when he is old he will
not depart from it."
-Proverbs 22:6
Children are invited to discover something wonderful at Good
Shepherd. It's a place to grow in the love of God through meaningful
experiences, fellowship and fun. We offer a warm and accepting
environment where faith is developed through worship, experience,
service and song. A variety of engaging programs enables our
youngest members to realize their essential roles in our Christian
community. Children of all ages have a place at Good Shepherd.
